Jackie Dunkin, director of HR, has been at Platte Valley for more than 34 years. She will be retiring and is looking forward to enjoying her free time:
“My husband and I are homebodies, so we don’t have any big plans,” says Jackie. “However, I plan to do a lot of little things that I enjoy, such as learning new vegan recipes, giving Bible studies, volunteering for church and religious activities, improving my piano playing skills, and getting my house really clean. Best of all, we plan to visit our grandchildren more frequently. Grand baby girl #2 (from Brad, for those of you who knew my son from years ago) is due February 25! After both my husband and I are fully retired in two or three years, we’re hoping to move to the country, where I am hoping to find a fixer-upper and more frequently use all those tools I’ve collected over the years.
“I have so enjoyed working at PVMC with all of you over the last 34 and a half years, so leaving is really hard for me. But it’s time. Never at any other job have I felt the closeness and “family” like we have here at PVMC. Never lose that. I’ll think of you often. But rest assured, you’ll be in good hands with Ginny, the new HR Director. She’s a sweetheart, and I know you’ll love her.”
Laurie Johnson is the director of Patient Financial Services, and has been here for 11+ years. She will be moving to a new role as the Director of Patient Financial Services at Estes Park Medical Center.
Please join us to celebrate their years of service at Platte Valley, and wish them well on their new adventures.
