The Nutritional Services Department is pleased to announce the addition of two new healthy vending machines. The first machine is on the main floor in the Emergency Room waiting area and the second is in the Med/Surg/Peds nourishment area. The machines offer a wide-variety of healthier food and beverages. Carly Cray, a surgical RN has been chosen to fill the role of Clinical Coordinator for the Surgical Services department.
“I’m very excited for the new opportunity, and new challenges on a day-to-day basis,” said Carly. “And working with the same wonderful staff I’ve been a part of for the last five years is an added bonus.”

The PVMC patient-led Cardiac Support Group is planning its first annual 5K Run/Walk in an effort to raise money for the Cardiac Rehab Wellness program. The program allows patients to continue to improve on their health after they complete Cardiac Rehab. Unfortunately, many opt out because of the out-of-pocket expense.
The race will be held in February in support of Heart Awareness Month. The race will be at the Adams County Fairgrounds on February 15 at 10:00 a.m. (race participants must check-in from 9:00 to 9:45 a.m.) or on February 22nd if there is inclement weather. All ages are welcome, and participants receive a t-shirt, water and snacks.
