Integrative Internal Medicine opens in suite 2170 this Tuesday, just down the hall from Spectrum Medical Imaging on the first floor. Their space will grow by almost 1000 square feet! It’s a beautiful office, so if you see an IIM employee tomorrow, congratulate them on their new space!

Volunteer for the 9Health Fair
The 9Health Fair is sneaking up on us! There are just 11 days until Saturday, April 9, and we are still in need of volunteers. If you’d like to participate, please sign up today.
Both medical and non-medical volunteers are needed. Non medical volunteers may be involved in traffic control, registration, height and weight measurement, or a variety of other jobs. Medical personnel are needed to draw blood, take blood pressures, talk to participants about their health or assist with free health screenings such as cardiac risk, bone density, or lung function. Volunteers should expect to be at the fair from 6:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. As always, a t-shirt and great food will be provided. All volunteers can receive 2 points on their HealthWISE account. Anyone interested in volunteering for the fair, please sign up here, or contact Peggy Jarrett at X3590.
PVMC to Have Doctor on Demand Access
Exciting news! As a part of our partnership with SCL Health, Platte Valley Medical Center employees will soon be able to use the new mobile healthcare service, Doctor on Demand.
Doctor On Demand is an innovative and inexpensive way for you to seek care for a variety of non-urgent medical issues via your mobile device from the comfort of your home or workplace, or while traveling. When you or a family member have a non-urgent health issue, such as cold/flu symptoms, sore throat or pink eye, you can access a physician via the video app, avoiding the need to visit an ER or urgent care center for a non-emergency medical issue, or when a primary care physician is not available such as on weekends, holidays and after business hours.
As of today, SCL Health is in the process of adding PVMC employees to the database of users so that we will be able to use Doc on Demand at a reduced cost. When it’s up and running, PVMC employees will each receive a coupon code for one free “visit” withDoc on Demand. After the first visit, employees who are covered by the hospital insurance, Aetna, will be able to use the app for $10 per visit. Employees who are not enrolled in the hospital insurance will be able to use the app for $40 per visit.
Stay tuned to the ICE for any updates on the Doctor on Demand app.
