You’ve all done an amazing job of donating to the Community Food Drive for Kids sponsored by the Brighton Chamber of Commerce Nonprofit Council. You’ve been filling up the donation bins almost faster than we can empty them!
Platte Valley Medical Center is a drop-off location, and there are donation boxes (the ones with the Christmas wrapping paper) at the main hospital and medical plaza entrances. The food drive will run until May 19.
Nonperishable Food Needs:
Nut Butters (Soy butter for those with allergies)
Canned Chicken, Tuna, or Beans
Soups (Campbell Soup on the Go)
Fruits packed in water or “light syrup”
Rice and Oatmeal (especially in individual packs)
Granola or Cereal Bars
Shelf Stable Milk
While no donations will be turned away, we encourage healthy items. Remember, young children should have no more than 16 grams of added sugar daily. No glass jars, please. Questions? Call 720-301-0949 or contact email@example.com.
Brighton Chamber Nonprofit Council (NPC) is a group of nonprofits that are members of the Chamber who work together to nurture the Brighton community. In order to combat the hunger that many children in our community face during the summer months, the members of NPC have joined forces to collect kid-friendly food that kids can prepare for themselves this summer.
