If you haven’t been to our new website yet, take a few minutes to browse it now at www.pvmc.org. For those with the latest version of Internet Explorer, Google Chrome, Firefox or Safari browsers, you will see one of the most beautiful hospital websites on the web.
Unfortunately, the launch of the new website didn’t come without glitches. Since it was designed as a leading-edge website using the latest technology, it is best viewed in the two latest browser versions. It is not supported by Internet Explorer 8 (the one browser used most inside the hospital). Don’t worry, however, the Marketing Team is working on the main navigation problems until we’re able to upgrade our existing house-wide browser.
Why the Mexican flag?
Some people have asked why they see a Mexican flag in the right-hand corner of their screen. There are two reasons:
- The Mexican flag is viewable on a mobile device and signifies to the user that if you click on the flag you can view our Spanish website. That’s right, our site is now available in Spanish.
- The website is responsive, meaning it is viewable on devices from desktops to cell phones. This creates a more friendly user experience. If your screen size is above 100%, you will see the Mexican flag in the top right corner and streamlined navigation.
We hope you enjoy the new website. If you find any broken links or problems, please call Tom Gilboy at x1480 or Charmaine Weis at X1482.
