It’s incredible to think that on Monday, July 10, Platte Valley Medical Center will be celebrating its “golden” 10th birthday at Prairie Center! Within the last 10 years, we have seen enormous growth from our community hospital. All of our accomplishments have helped us to flourish into the regional medical center we are today.
Some of our biggest accomplishments include: becoming a Primary Stroke Care Center, an Accredited Chest Pain Center, and a Level III Trauma Center. We have also added a second cath lab (opening soon), a dedicated sleep lab, our new, 60,000 sq ft Medical Plaza 2, and our Advanced Wound Center & Hyperbarics clinic! Whew! Are you out of breath just reading all of that?!
A few statistics from our last 10 years:
- 10,596 Babies Born
- 36,690 Surgeries Performed
- 210,553 Emergency Room Visits
- 48,786 Ambulance Calls
- 7,374,629 Lab Procedures Completed
- 46,757 Mammograms Done
- 83,936 Ultra Sounds Performed
- 80,827 CT Scans Completed
- 22,731 MRI’s Executed
Just like our hospital, these statistics continue to grow each day. Just think of how many more accomplishments we will reach in our next ten years!
We could talk all day about how Platte Valley Medical Center continues to grow and develop each year, but instead we invite you to join us on Monday July 10, from 2-3 p.m. for some Spring Fling Cake and fresh fruit in the Bistro. Come take part in our collective art piece that will be displayed in the hospital for years to come. July 10 is a day to celebrate 10 years at our Prairie Center campus, but most importantly it’s a time to celebrate our Platte Valley family and how far we have all come in the last 10 years.
