The Medical Imaging Department recognizes that imaging procedures can be stressful for many patients. They noted that discharge instructions, especially information about how and when patients will receive their final reports, may not be remembered after their exam.
As a way to assist their patients, the department developed a customer service card in English and Spanish with complete instructions on how the patient’s report will be given to their referring physician’s office. This allows the patient to read the instructions after they leave the hospital and contact numbers are also provided if the patient has any additional questions.
