After more than 23 years of service, Carol Baumgartner is leaving us. She has her eyes set on a new horizon: retirement. Over the years, Carol’s scope of responsibilities has continually grown and evolved. Prior to being hired in physical therapy, she started as a volunteer. She also worked in ED Admissions, was a Cashier with PFS, assisted the Performance Improvement department, and spent the last 13 years in the Foundation. Carol is truly one of the few PVMC associates who has seen it all.
When Carol moved over to the Foundation, she helped create the vision for the capital campaign to help bring this campus to life. She worked alongside Marcie and our Foundation Board to raise more than $8 million to fund equipment, art, and projects we wouldn’t have otherwise had access to. She contributed so much to the overall vision of this campus –it is truly a legacy to be proud of. Carol has left an everlasting mark on this hospital.
I know how much you care for not only this place and the mission that we carry out here, but for each of the people that you work with. I also know how much of yourself you’ve given to us over the years. And for all of that I say thank you.
One would be hard pressed to find a more loyal and dedicated employee. It was your passion for PVMC and the Brighton community that led you to the Foundation – and we will miss that fire. Thank you for your dedication, passion, commitment, and all the laughs. We send you with best wishes in your retirement.
