As you may recall, the City of Brighton announced a Boil Water Advisory last Wednesday evening, July 3. Upon receiving notification, the hospital’s Emergency Operation’s Team opened the Incident Command Center and quickly took precautions to ensure the safety of our patients, visitors, and staff. We kept to that plan for three days until the advisory was lifted for the City of Brighton. We then followed the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment (CDPHE) guidelines in order to resume normal usage.
The good news is that there was no contamination to the hospital water system; our patients, guests, and staff remained comfortable and safe.
Special thanks to everyone for your patience and especially to those who worked extra hours over the holiday weekend to respond to the incident. It was a great effort by everyone involved!
