Congratulations to Mary Catherine Cox, Occupational Therapist in the Physical Medicine Department. She passed the May 2016 Hand Therapy Certification Examination, which designates her as a Certified Hand Therapist (CHT).
A CHT is an occupational or physical therapist who has a minimum of five years of clinical experience, including 4,000 hours or more in direct hand therapy practice. In addition, Certified Hand Therapists must successfully pass a comprehensive exam of testing them on advanced clinical skills and theory in upper quarter rehabilitation.
Mary Catherine became a member of our Physical Medicine team in March of this year. “I’m really excited.” said Mary Catherine, “to have the opportunity of joining the PVMC team and I look forward to working with my patients to help them return to activities that matter to them.”
