If you’ve ever hoped to have an easier time checking in and registering for outpatient services at Platte Valley, you’re about to get your wish! Opening on Monday, October 24, our new Patient Access Service Center or PASC will become the hub for the following:
New Outpatient Registration Check-In Area: Starting Monday, October 24, patients coming for Cardiac Rehab or Physical Medicine (Speech, Physical, Occupational or Massage therapy) services will begin by checking in at Suite 100 of Medical Plaza 1 before their appointments. Three weeks later, on November 14, the Outpatient Lab Tests and Pre-Admissions Testing will move to Suite 100 and their patients will check in here as well. Then, beginning December 5, the new check-in area will also become the first stop for Wound Care & Hyperbarics patients.
When patients arrive at Suite 100, they will be encouraged to check-in via new self-service kiosks. The kiosks are simple and easy to use. They allow patients to check in, review and update their personal information, as well as select their scheduled appointment time. Although the kiosks currently do not take payments, by January, 2017, our kiosks will also be able to provide fast payment processing by accepting credit card payments. In addition, by using the kiosk, patients will be providing us with real-time data on current wait times, enabling us to quickly address any unusually long wait times.
New Outpatient Lab Location: Outpatient Lab tests will become more convenient for our patients beginning November 14 when they will be able to check in and receive lab draws in Suite 100 as well. Private lab draw rooms, including a pediatric room, will improve patient privacy and comfort. The Lab will also have new hours beginning November 14: 8 a.m. – 6 p.m., Monday – Friday.
Central Scheduling for Outpatient Services: In order to improve customer service and centralize the scheduling process, the PASC will include a new call center that also opens on October 24. Patients will now call one phone number, 303-498-3000 to set initial appointments for Cardiac Rehab, Cardiopulmonary, Nutrition, Physical Medicine, and Wound Center services. Associates in the call center will schedule, pre-register and pre-authorize patients for these services.
If you have questions about the new Patient Access Service Center, call our PASC Manager Vianey Alba at x3341 (active 10/24).
