Platte Valley recently changed linen vendors from Alsco to the Hospital Cooperative Laundry (HCL). HCL is a reputable healthcare linen vendor that services over 35 hospitals in Colorado, including our sister care sites. HCL is committed to providing quality services to PVMC, but they need our help in identifying any quality issues. As a way to measure quality, HCL has provided green “Reject Linen” bags that have been placed on select units next to the clean linen shelves.
“Reject Linen” is any cloth item that has noticeable holes/rips or stains that a patient can see immediately. By using these bags it enable us to manage/count the amount of rejected linen, which provides feedback to HCL. We believe that having quality linen greatly impacts patient care, so please help HCL in identifying quality concerns. Your help will be greatly appreciated! Please reach out to Salvador Garcia with any questions.
