The opening of the new patient registration area brings a new change for patients who wish to make payments in person. Prior to opening the new registration area, the Cashier’s Office accepted payments. This office is now a back-of-the-house function and no longer takes payments.
What’s the new process?
Payments can now be accepted by Patient Billing Resolution Specialist Ashley Martinez. In her new role, she is responsible for helping patients with any billing concerns. She is able to set up payments plans, take payments, and help patients with the multiple bills they receive from different providers. She has experience with both our legacy system (MedSeries 4) and Epic. In addition, she helps patients schedule appointments with our Financial Counselors and can also help patients needing financial assistance.
Ashley’s office is located just to the right of our beautiful new registration bays. Within the new bays, Patient Access Representatives such as Darlene Guitron can also take payments in addition to their patient registration duties.
