The Medical Plaza 2 Open House was an all around success. Physicians, employees, members of the Brighton Chamber of Commerce and even some “curious citizens” joined us to officially “open” the new space.
Join us in the Medical Plaza lobby tomorrow, Thursday, January 26 from 4 – 7 p.m. for an open house and tours of our new medical office spaces. The Brighton Chamber of Commerce will hold a Ribbon Cutting Ceremony at 4:30 p.m. and the new offices in both Medical Plazas will be open for tours and meet-and-greets with physicians and staff. There will be music, hors d’oeuvres, and a photographer to update your professional profile photo. Please RSVP now by calling 303-498-1481 or online.

Friday is moving day for High Plains Heart and Vascular Center! They will be moving to their new suite, #2330, on the third floor in Medical Plaza 2. Their current office in Medical Plaza 1 will close at noon on June 10, and they will reopen on Tuesday, June 14 in their new space.
The completed suite has nearly double the square footage of the former space, and features 11 exam rooms, a vascular ultrasound room, and an echocardiogram and treadmill room for stress tests. Additionally, the new space will have two rooms for vein surgeries. Please congratulate High Plains Heart and Vascular Center staff on their beautiful and spacious new office.
On April 5, the Physical Medicine department moved to their temporary space, suite 2230, on the second floor of Medical Plaza #2. Their former office will be renovated and expanded to include the space that once belonged to Mountain View Orthopedics, creating a “super suite” that encompasses nearly the entire west side of the first floor in Medical Plaza #1. That project is expected to be completed in November. In the meantime, if you have an appointment or wish to use the gym, look for Physical Medicine in their new location, suite 2230, in Medical Plaza 2.
Integrative Internal Medicine opens in suite 2170 this Tuesday, just down the hall from Spectrum Medical Imaging on the first floor. Their space will grow by almost 1000 square feet! It’s a beautiful office, so if you see an IIM employee tomorrow, congratulate them on their new space!
Spectrum Medical Imaging, our community’s first free-standing imaging center, will open on Monday morning. Spectrum offers patients a lower cost, more convenient option for imaging procedures, especially for those whose insurance company requires them to go to a free-standing facility. No longer do they have to drive to Denver for affordable outpatient imaging needs.
Spectrum Medical Imaging is designed with our community’s needs in mind:
- Being away from the main hospital entrance, patients will enjoy easier center access, including a convenient patient drop-off, a front door, main floor location, and less congested parking options.
- Technologically, Spectrum offers a full range of diagnostic radiology services. The Hitachi Oasis MRI provides high field imaging with an open design, especially benefits patients with claustrophobia or obesity issues. Screening mammograms are performed using the latest 3D Tomography (mammography) technology. The center provides Ultrasound, X-Ray and Bone Density (Dexa) studies. All equipment is American College of Radiology Accredited and the exams are interpreted by Board Certified Radiologists.
- With more and more patients on high deductible health care plans, Spectrum has specifically negotiated payor reimbursement rates, including patient out-of-pockets costs.
In short, Spectrum delivers a more convenient, yet high tech option to patients, at a lower cost.
Platte Valley Medical Center still offers the following inpatient and outpatient services:
- Screening and diagnostic mammography services using the latest – gold standard – 3D Mammography technology.
- X-ray services include all plain film x-rays (to include scoliosis and long leg imaging) and all types of fluoroscopy imaging.
- Vascular, Body, and Heart Ultrasounds.
- State-of-the art 1.5 Tesla Wide Bore MRI services give patients the greater comfort of conventional open bore systems, as well as high-quality imaging of conventional closed bore systems.
- Two state-of-the-art CT machines, a 128 and an 80 Slice.
- Nuclear Medicine testing is available and a brand new Cardiac Camera will be available very soon.
- The only test no longer available at PVMC is DEXA Bone Density scans. These exams will be offered at Spectrum Medical Imaging only.
How exciting! The “Connector” between Medical Plaza 1 to Medical Plaza 2 is now partially open. The wall has been removed. The Connector Entrance was open to all patients beginning on Monday. Mountain View Orthopedics was the first practice to move into their new space, and began seeing patients today, Tuesday March 1. Several physician offices will be moving over the next three months, so refer to the included map and schedule if you have any questions. Stay tuned to The ICE for more Medical Plaza 2 updates.
Leap Day was also Moving Day for Mountain View Orthopedics. Everyone helped out; even the doctors pitched in to get their new space ready to see patients today. MVO is moving from a 3,200 sq foot office to their new, 8,000 sq foot office on the second floor of Medical Plaza 2. They’re more than doubling their old space, with twice as many exam rooms, an additional procedure room, and two in-office X-ray rooms! One of those X-ray rooms is solely for feet (get it… solely!)
The north gravel parking lot will be closed and under construction starting tomorrow in order to be paved and striped. This is the first of three phases to pave these outer parking lots, with each lot taking about 4-6 weeks to complete.
It is imperative that you continue to park in the employee lot during this first phase as the campus will be losing a good portion of the overflow parking. Apart from that, thank you all for your continued consideration on this matter as the parking has been much better as of late.
Also, in conjunction with the parking lot closing, we will be adding a parking lot attendant (HSS security officer – traffic Control) this week to help alleviate some of the confusion our visitors might have during construction. This attendant will be present to help answer questions as well as advise people on where to park to be closest to their destination.
If there are any questions you might have please feel free to contact Chiyon Lee at X1450 or Steve Floersch with Health Connect Properties, Inc. at (303) 830-1444, X 307 or email@example.com.
With the construction of the new Medical Plaza 2, our patients are feeling frustrated by the new “lack” of parking spaces. And even though 13 new handicap spaces were created last week, our lots are still full. In an effort to focus on our patients and show considerate respect, if you are a hospital employee or work in a physician’s office in Medical Plaza 1, please please please park in the designated staff lots (see map).
We know it is going to be tough for a little while, especially in May when they begin paving the dirt lots, but with everyone’s help we can live the PVMC Behavior Standards and keep our patients happy. 🙂
You may have noticed an increase in foot traffic at the link entrance this week. This is because the south entrance to the MOB is now closed and a temporary entrance is being constructed at the southeast corner of the Physical Medicine department. Once completed, the temporary entrance will allow patients and staff to come and go from the building while MOB II is being constructed. In the next two weeks, the site will be enclosed by a construction fence. Stay tuned to the ICE for more updates.
Platte Valley Medical Plaza II (also known as MOB 2) is scheduled to open December 15, 2015. The addition of a medical office building allows PVMC to provide new services and expand existing services. New services include a wound care center with hyperbaric chambers, dedicated sleep lab and an outpatient imaging center. Services that will expand its current offerings are Mountain View Orthopedics, Physical Medicine, Platte Valley Pharmacy, Oncology, Eagle Ridge Medical, Cardiac Rehab and Integrative Internal Medicine. In addition, the Connector (passageway that connects the current medical office to the new office building) will become the primary entrance for the medical office buildings. To better service our patients seeking outpatient services, PVMC will be relocating the outpatient lab, pre-admission testing and some of the admission staff in between the current medical office building and the Connector.
Prior to ground breaking (scheduled in January), a new parking area and south entrance will be created. Stay tuned to the ICE for regular updates on the construction of Platte Valley Medical Plaza II.
