Several retirements, lateral moves and new opportunities left open positions in the hosptial. These positions have all been filled by some familiar and well-loved faces. To recap, congratulations to these women on their new job titles:
Amanda Villela – Patient Account Supervisor, PFS: After Faye Sneeringer’s retirement this month, Amanda stepped into the role of Patient Account Supervisor. Amanda is an experienced employee with a wealth of knowledge about the PFS department and medical billing. She says, “I like to be challenged, and this position is the kind of challenge I have always wanted for myself. I’ve worked in medical billing for 11 years now, and I am excited to embark on this new journey!”
Carol Baumgartner – Director of Foundation: Since Marcie Demchuk will retire this August, Carol has been selected to lead the Foundation. Carol has 11 years of experience in the Foundation office. “I am honored to have the opportunity to continue fundraising for Platte Valley Medical Center,” says Carol. “Our exciting new partnership with SCL Health, makes this an ideal time to concurrently grow with PVMC, and support the increase in programs and services to meet the needs of our growing community.”
Hannah Murphy – Director of Nutritional Services: Katie Boemecke will soon be taking up her new position as Director of Service Excellence at Lutheran Medical Center, and Hannah will step in as the new department director. Although Hannah has been at PVMC for just under a year, she is the perfect fit for the role. “I am excited that becoming the Director of Nutrition Services will allow me to continue to work with such a fantastic team,” says Hannah. “We have a wonderful foundation to continue to build upon and I look forward to what the future will bring!”
Sheryl Sorensen – Director of Volunteer Services: Sheryl stepped into her new position in Volunteer Services at the beginning of July after Kathie Young’s retirement. She has prior experience with running a volunteer program, and has been an excellent concierge at the front desk for several years. Sheryl says “I’m very excited about the opportunity to work with not only our volunteers, but also with the staff who are so critical in helping to provide a meaningful experience for our volunteers. Together I feel certain that we can make a difference in the lives of our patients and families.”
Soledad Talmadge – Hospital Concierge: Soledad has been a great employee for 10 years, where she has served as the Nutritional Services Secretary. She will be taking Sheryl’s role as the Hospital Concierge. Soledad says, “I loved working in Nutritional Services and will miss working side-by-side with the other nutritional staff, but I am excited to start something new. I am excited to be working with Sheryl and the hosptial volunteers.”
If you have some time, please congratulate these employees on their new ventures.
