These bedside monitors monitor vital signs of patients on every medical unit in the hospital and can help alert staff immediately when there is a change or deterioration of a patient’s status. They also allow us to monitor patients to be sure that our interventions are achieving the desired effect. They also incorporate transport monitoring capabilities and patient monitoring information can be shared across departments as the patient moves throughout the hospital.
Healthstream e-learnings have been assigned to all clinical staff. Specific units are scheduled to attend IN-PERSON training the week prior to their go-live. All nurses, CNAs and techs (ED, ICU, MST, Cath Lab, Surgery, Women’s, House Supervisors) are required to attend the in-person training in the MOB2 Conference Room. We will do our best to accommodate all staff in any class regardless of their unit, but be advised that some functions and content are specific to some units.
All other staff are encouraged to sign-up in Healthstream. You can find them by searching “Nihon Kohden.” The full class titles are “PVMC Nihon Kohden Clinical Monitor Training” and “PVMC Nihon Kohden Clinical Super User Training.”
